Description

A blue gold medal champion pinot without the extravagant price. Delicate aromas of dark fruit and cherry characterise the nose. The palate experiences an elegant blend of mulberry, dried herbs and spices with a long smooth finish enhanced by the silky tannins. Another vintage with outstanding accolades which will continue developing for the next 5 to 7 years. A very fine, fine wine.

The Producer

This family owned vineyard is dedicated to the production of Pinot Noir and have received numerous awards and accolades since their first vintage. Lowburn Ferry surrounds an historic ferry crossing over the Clutha River, now lake Dunstan. The vineyard is on a sheltered north facing terrace, which was previously pasture land leaving the soil with a natural and abundant supply of nutrients.
