After basket pressing, the individual component varieties of the 2013 Selection went into barrel. The blend was put together in February 2014 and matured for a further 9 months in small oak barrels, 30% new oak. The 2013 Selection Blend features 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot.
Complex aromatics with blackcurrant and raspberry along with aromas of dark red rose, cardamom and nutmeg. Powerful and intense in the mouth with concentrated flavours of red fruits layered with baking spice. Finely structured with great length and depth on the finish. Enjoy with finely flavoured dishes or hard cheese. Decanting is recommended to unlock the wealth of flavours and appreciate the depth of texture when opened in its youth.
