Pisa, Central Otago.
A unique wine from a spectacular terraced single vineyard site. Cranberries, strawberries and wild raspberries with the perfume of mountain brambles, rosehip and thyme. The palate is lighter than Bannockburn with pronounced stony mineral character, juicy red berry acidity and fine dry tannins. Finely boned with bright pure fruit. Ten months in neutral oak.
"A perfumed nose of dark cherries, raspberries, dark chocolate, cloves and baking spices. Medium body with fresh acidity. Energetic and crunchy on the palate with pure, spicy character. Complete and fascinating......" James Suckling 93/100 - October 2021
"It is wonderfully ripe and perfumed on the nose showing dark cherry, mushroom, cedar, thyme and floral aromas. The palate displays excellent weight and plump mouthfeel, gorgeously complemented by layers of delectable flavours. Long and satisfying on the finish. At its bes: now to 2026." Sam Kim 94/100, 5 stars - March 2021
" Elegant and rounded with soft dark-cherry and plum fruit characters in a silky, spicy yet ripe style pinot. Youthful but it certainly is standing its ground. Penty of structure with great acid definition and rounded tannins to support the abundant fruit." Cuisine Magazine 4 stars - April 2021
