Otago's early Scottish settlers used scarecrows or "tattyboglers" as they called them, to protect their precious crops from the hungry and unfamiliar New Zealand birdlife. Alluring soft pink colour in the glass; this delightful Rosé is alive on the nose with red cherry and strawberry aromas, while the palate reveals seductive summer fruit flavours and a dry chalky finish. Each small parcel of fruit is harvested in the cool of the early morning, crushed/destemmed, and then given a brief 4-6 hour cold soak to extract just enough “lipstick red” colour. The juice was cold settled and then cool fermented before blending and finishing for bottling in July. Alcohol: 13%
